About Us
A clean, comfortable rest stop for travelers along the Maharlika highway

Our Story
Tiama Legacy Rest Stop is what used to be Villa Remedios, named after Remedios Tiama — the mother of brothers Romie, Ramon, and Choy, and wife to Mamerto. In his lifetime, Monsignor Ramon Tiama built the foundation that would become what the rest stop is today. It started with a garden and 3 model buildings, filled with memorabilia from his life and travels. He had dreams of making more of Villa Remedios, but sadly his dreams were cut short due to his untimely passing in 2020.
His brothers Romie and Choy came up with the idea of making Monsignor's dream a reality. Together, they renamed the place Tiama Legacy Rest Stop, as they always considered Calauag their home. They are running it together as a love song to Calauag, in memory of the legacies of their dear parents and brother, and future Tiamas.
It is now a family affair with three generations helping out. We hope to share their dream with the rest of Quezon (and the Philippines!), as well.
